About Us

better kinder world™ began with a simple observation.

Most leaders care deeply about the cultures they are responsible for shaping. They invest time, attention, and resources in defining values and communicating expectations. And yet, despite this effort, meaningful change in how work actually happens can be hard to achieve — or hard to sustain.

The reason is straightforward.

Culture does not live in mission statements or leadership intent. It lives in what people experience in their daily work — the patterns of behavior that shape decisions, relationships, and accountability.

better kinder world™ exists to help leaders approach culture with that reality in mind.

The work focuses on helping leaders steward a disciplined process that invites participation, leads to shared behavioral standards people genuinely support, and embeds those standards into the systems that guide everyday work.

When those elements come together, culture becomes something organizations can sustain.

Hello,

Laura Flynn is an organizational development leader, coach, and consultant who has spent more than two decades helping leaders and organizations strengthen culture, leadership, and organizational effectiveness.

Before founding better kinder world™, she held senior organizational development leadership roles inside large, complex organizations. In one such role, she helped translate an organization’s emerging cultural standards into clear behavioral definitions, tools, and leadership training, and led the broader effort to embed those standards into organizational systems and everyday leadership practice.

That work was later referenced in Harvard Business Review.

Experiences like this shaped Laura’s perspective on culture work and led to the creation of better kinder world™ — helping leaders approach culture with greater clarity, discipline, and practical structure.
